Simulacrum biography
SIMULACRUM is a progressive metal band from Turku, Finland. While in high school, Christian "Chrism" PULKKINEN founded the band by composing the bulk of the material on a keyboard. The first line-up consisted of also of Nicholas PULKKINEN on guitar, Olli HAKALA on bass, Niklas BROMAN on lead vocals and Markus WALLASVAARA on drums. WALLASVAARA played with the band from its founding in 2003 and until 2011. Since then, the band has found a young virtuoso Samuel HILDÉN to manage the drum set.

The debut album "The Master And The Simulacrum" was released and featured eight different songs are all different in mood and yet feature a similar composition style; produced Chrism, who is a professional producer/sound technician. SIMULACRUM's music is a combination of straightforward progressive metal mixed with atmospheric arrangements and power metal. Recommended to fans of European symphonic metal with a rough edge.
