Blue Sausage Infant is one of the recording aliases of American Chester Hawkins. Hawkins started BSI in 1985 and mostly dealt with musique concrete and tape manipulation, soon however BSI came to encompass other electronic genres, most notably early experimental krautrock and psychedelic music, Mixing this with noise, industrial, and cut-up/sampling to create a highly hypnotic and trance inducing kosmische sound.

The Blue Sausage Infant moniker was retired in 2012 and Chester Hawkins has continued on releasing music under his own name.
