4 stars Tangerine Dream , the only progressive band that i would really enjoy listen to , at any time of the day , but also , one of the few , that i will not spend a penny to see any stage performance or not even to watch a video concert . I've seen 2 consecutive concerts for TD in the Warfield of San Francisco during 1992 , during the concert , i felt really opset from the way they performed Force Majeure ( nearly 7 minutes ) , Phaedra ( 6 mnts ) , Rubycon ( 4.5 mnts ) , etc.... The effect that TD's works creates in my mood while listening in the hide has much more effect than in live shows . Force Majeure was the second bridge of TD to cross to a more acceptable progressive moods , by using new instruments & materials in developping this excellent work , and the first without bauman in the original line-up . Still , Force Majeure has different blend from Phaedra , Cyclone , Rubycon & Stratosfear , the use of guitars , cello , drums , in extensive ways , gave this album much more credit , imo , than any other TD's works . As i'm tracking the tracks of this german band since the early 70's , and witnessing all their releases , i believe that FM , is the best work to introduce TD as a progressive band / space rock . 4.5 Stars for all tracks .
