STORMWATCH

Jethro Tull's 'Stormwatch' was among my first twenty lp's or so and has therefor had a good change to grow on me. Jethro Tull at the end of the seventies is still mixing classic rock, folk rock and progressive. I never liked the impersonal sound of this album - or in fact any of their albums - but it has some strong songs. Of these 'Flying Dutchmen' is the most memorable, with its beautiful melancholy verses and nice instrumental interplay. 'Orion' is good little song as well. None of the other songs are particularly weak, but I still can't recommended this album to others than fans of the band.
