4 stars Bent Out Of shape...years of remembrance 1983... Anyway, this is the best album of the Turner's era and a fine example of high quality AOR music, in my humble opinion. It's a fine collection of songs perfectly suited for Turner's voice who's vocal performance is exceptional in this album. Can't let you go is the first best of the album-the song starts with a classical influenced intro which leads to a strong basic riff so Blackmore familiar-excellent refrain and guitar solo. Anybody There is another Blackmore's beautiful instrumental. Desperate Heart is another winner, for me a high quality radio hit-clever riff, nice melodies and performances by all players. Street Of Dreams is a great song and quite a big hit of its era-few can compose diachronic songs such as this one. The highlight for me is the adaptation of Snowman by Howard Blake. The song has a magic melody which here is carried nicely by Ritchie Blackmore's guitar with two exceptional solo-Magic! I have to mention Roger Glover's excellent production, so alive, clear and warm. I also have to mention the great performance of the other musicians too, David Rosenthal and Chuck Burgi. All in all one of the very decent albums of the 80's...running though my memories,on the street of dreams...
