3 stars While listening to ''They Dance'', for a few seconds the listener thinks that he will get another ''Radar Love''. But this impression doesn't last for long. As soon as the wind section starts, it almsot ruins it. Which is a pity because the beat here is damned good and this track could have brought us more than a decade backwards. But even so, this song is quite enjoyable and full of dynamics (hence the title).

There are real good songs on this album of which ''Save The Best For Later'': it is another nice jump in time. An excellent rhythmic section, a devastating rock feel and a convincing Barry on the vocals (which was not always the case in those days). A highlight indeed.

I am not really satisfied with the addition of a wind section on this album (four musicians in total). IMO, they denaturized GE music. This album could have been their best since ''Contraband'' by a mile; but these trumpets, sax etc. are just too invading. What a shame!

The next ''Jane Jane'' is revisiting the disco-rock sound that they have already produced in past efforts: ''Twilight Zone'' (from ''Cut'') to only name one. This album has also its flow (''Why Do I'') but it remains quite enjoyable to listen to. The closing ''A Shout In The Dark'' is another rock winner: catchy beat, slightly pop and some Stones feel (but this is not the first time of course).

I would rate this work with five out of ten but I will upgrade it to three stars (which it would have fully deserved without these wind instruments).
