3 stars This is a solo work of Edgar Froese under the Tangerine Dream name. I don't know why he decided to release a movie soundtrack ten years after the release of the movie. It was a German movie about two workers fired after finished the build of a skyscraper and act a revenge hiding inside and committing violences on the skyscraper's inhabitants.

Maybe he relistened to his material and decided that was good enough for being released, or maybe he was running out of money and had something available for the market, who knows?

What I can say is that it's effectively a little better than the TD's average soundtracks of the 80s. The average length of the tracks is around 5 minutes each, thats enough to develop a musical idea even if more than far from the side long tracks of the Pink and Virgin periods.

I haven't seen the movie, so I can't say whether this soundtrack was a fit or not. Reading the plot I would expect a sort of a thriller, but it's not the kind of "music for thrillers" that one can imagine. It's normal electronic music, sometimes more melodic and pop than usual, as in the sax driven parts of "Head Hunter", which is mainly a newage track.

For the rest is an album enjoyable enough even if nothing special. Just one more sountrack in the huge discography labeled Tangerine Dream
