4 VISIONS

Incredible bass playing. Brilliant drumming. Lots of keys. Dual soprano vocals. Electronic elements that seem way ahead of its time. For Zeuhl that isn't Magma, look no further than this album. Sung in French for extra accessibility, 4 Visions avoids the gradual-build suspense characterised by Magma, for the most part utilising a furious groove from the bass and drums, with abrupt changes in tempo keeping you on your toes. The jazzy vocals blend together seamlessly in and around the rhythm passages. Highlights are the first track, and the crescendo in the middle of track3. Without doubt a 5 star example of the style of Zeuhl.
