3 stars This single released off 1982's creative Broadsword and The Beast is definitely one of the highlights on the album. It has a great lyrical hook and rocks along very nicely. To this reviewer anyway the single perhaps the most commercially accessible from the glam decade of the 80's. Anderson's flute as usual doing the trick but the guitar sections stand out the best. Bass quite prominent too courtesy of that talented muso Dave Pegg. Not sure what level of success " Fallen On Hard Times" had but it was also partnered with the slower more serious & progressive " Broadsword" on side B.
