4 stars A nice surprise this! I don't really know that much about The Enid and can remember buying one of their albums on cassette in the eighties and not being all that impressed. So I didn't really have very high expectations for this at all but since it dropped through my letter box I can't seem to stop playing the thing.Admittedly the concept loses me (very Sc-Fi which is okay in my book) with the music alternating between sweeping electronic/orchestral peices and songs with very much a rock band slant. I love the journey part of it. This is how proig should be. Get the headphones and be immersed and taken to some far off galaxy. Really I can't find much to fault about this on the production or playing side. Perhaps it runs a little bit out of steam towards the latter half and for that reason I stop at going the whole 5 stars but I havn't heard a more orginal or better album this year to date.
