3 stars One of the many compilation album to keep the cash flowing as Purple had folded, this is a relatively interesting one for its track selection. Back then, Black Night was not available on an Lp and most of the tracks here were nowhere to be found except on bootlegs!

Tracks such as Hush and Wring That Neck written from the Mk I line-up but played by the Mk II line-up did have an interest. Cry Fre and Painted Horse were never officialy released before. Most tracks are live tracks! While this vinyl did make sense back then , I do not encourage progheads to hunt it down (it was already scarce in the 70's so it must be ultra- rare now) , but I have never seen it in Cd format (neither have actively looked for it either). For dedicated fans only , although I will give it a third star!
