WONDEROUS STORIES 12''

(I don't quite get it: 26 ratings, zero reviews. So here's mine.) Of course you all know these songs, 'Wonderous Stories' and 'Parallels', which both are from the 1977 album Going For The One. A bit strange how they didn't release a single with something else on the flipside. Just think of all the bonus tracks of the album's latest CD edition. Therefor three stars is enough. I do enjoy the lighthearted Jon Anderson composition even though it is sometimes considered too light and a "throwaway". The melody is pretty and the crystal-clear playing has a nice fairytale-like atmosphere.

'Parallels' (written by Chris Squire) is together with 'Going for the One' my least favourite from the album. It is a powerful tune, but the church organ in it feels quite out of place.
