2 stars 'Family Tree' is an album of collected solo works by musicians connected in some way with Hawkwind. There are songs by The Paradogs (Jerry Richards & Alf Hardy), The Little Big Men (Richard Chadwick & Steve Bemand), Ron Tree & Vital Chi, Liz Gizzard, as well as some by Dave Brock. The '79 version of the full band also appears with "Motorway City". There are some surprisingly powerful dance tracks, with powerful keyboards and a pounding beat as well as some totally off the wall stuff which could come from the 'Wind. Some of these songs definitely deserve to hit the clubs, where people have never heard of Hawkwind.
