3 stars First official live release after the reunion in 1984. A few years later KNEBWORTH 1985 was released from the PERFECT STRANGERS tour. It starts off with a nice version of Highway star. Next one is one of my favourite DP songs Strange kind of woman, but it hasn't got the magic of version on MADE IN JAPAN. Dead or alive is not a great song, but it sounds better than the studio version on The house of blue light. It is one of the extra tracks and originally only on the Hush single CD. Perfect strangers is a great song and an excellent live performance. One of the highlights of the album and a proof that DP is more than the band from the seventees. Hard lovin' woman sounds great and Bad attitude (also excluded from the original CD release) is another highlight. Next one is a relaxed organ piece by Lord, followed by a great version of Knocking at your back door. Second record is less interesting. Child in time has got a lot of overdubs and doesn't sound like in the old days (although on In concert it sounded even worse). Lazy is only a short version, but well done. Space Trucking is the third bonus track and sounds as a good excerpt from Made in Japan. Black night is a weak version, just like the short impression of Woman from Tokyo. Smoke on the water is an excellent song, but this version hasn't got the power of older versions. The live jam of Hush is a funny epilogue on the CD. In a few words: good sound quality, nice live versions of the new songs and some less versions of the classic ones.
