This performance is one of the two concerts broadcasted over radio during TANGERINE DREAM's 1977 North American tour. The first two movements are in fact "Cherokee Lane" and "Monolight", which can be found in the "Encore" live release. They were played at the beginning of the tour concerts. The remaining four tracks are unreleased material.
"Third Movement" is the least interesting. It opens with strange dark synth voices and mainly consists in a minimalist sequence with guitar on it. Not enough variations in my opinion. "Fourth Movement" offers much more variety. Beginning slowly in a intriguing atmospheric mood, it further progresses gradually in intensity, with themes from "Atem" overture and "The Sorcerer".
The rageous "Fifth Movement" features a ferocious distorted guitar improvisation by Edgar Froese. Electronics gets pretty wild too by moments. The concert finishes with "Sixth Movement", an interesting changing track with peaceful aerial guitar and mystical electronic ambiance.
Overall, a good performance by the german trio. However, some passages are a bit too long and the sound quality is average. From the same tour, I slightly prefer "Detroit - March 31st 1977".
