5 stars Rarely the single, even Queen's single, is so close to perfection. The pick of 'Bijou' as a B side (well it's not a B side since it's a CD single, but you know what I am talking about) is probably the best possible solution - and here's why.

There is no point of going into deep analysis of the song 'Innuendo' - it's the Queen's last great prog song, a great epilogue, and a song with a great hook, which means a hit single, no doubt about it. As a counterpoint, the ethereal, atmospheric, guitar solo - based 'Bijou', wallowing in its beauty, is a great addition to the title tune: it's arguably the best song on the album, not perfect though (the few verses at the end seem unnecessary), but for anyone who appreciates artistic side, or progressive side of the band's music, there's no better choice. 'Bijou' holds up well with the monstrosity of 'Innuendo' - so it's a bog thumps up for the label editors, and of course for the band. What a pity it will be the last great single of the band...
