4 stars I have seen consistency in delivering excellent live performance demonstrated by Deep Purple even though the line-up has changed and it's now 26 years later after the 1972 in Denmark. Thera are similar tracks in the two shows and both of them are really performed excellently. Deep Purple has managed the replacement of Ritchie Blackmore with Steve Morse successfully. Yes, there are different styles between Blackmore and Morse but the differences even make the listening pleasure is now expanded as we can hear how the guitar parts are played by Morse now. Yes, the legendary parts in Strange Kind of Woman are performed differently but the track is still excellent right here. Well, talking about style, I think Morse is much progressive in style than Blackmore. But it does not mean Morse is better - both are great guitar players - it's just different.

Unfortunately I have never seen Pictures of Home played live under Blackmore era - maybe it's not quite rockin' in terms of heavy riffs. But I really love this track from Machine Head album and ... I love this track being performed right here in this DVD live from Australia. Wow! Now I can see how the guitar parts are played wonderfully by Morse and of course the short bass solo work by Glover. I really love the interlude part where it features guitar and Hammond organ solo. Throughout this long hours concert in Australia, I have seen the excellent guitar playing and stage acts of Steve Morse. Other band members are still energetic in their old ages. Paice is still energetic with his jaw-dropping drum work; Glover is still attractive. Gillan still able to manage the high register notes in some parts of the tracks.

Overall, it's an excellent rock concert with excellent atmosphere demonstrated by the crowd. The video as well as audio quality are really excellent and they make critical factors of enjoyment.

Peace on earth and mercy mild - GW
