2 stars Sub-standard

With the enormous volume of Hawkwind releases available, this one is not really worth bothering with. "Independent days" is simply a compilation of sub-standard versions of tracks readily available on other Hawkwind albums.

There are far better versions of tracks such as "Hurry on sundown", "Motorway City", and "Night of the hawks" than those included here. Other tracks such as "Dream dancers" and the dreadful "Over the top" should have been omitted altogether.

The recording quality is poor throughout, avoid.
