3 stars In june 1982 GENESIS released their "Three Sides Live" album (which was mainly recorded in 1981), and to promote the album they also toured in August-September 1982 with their "Three Sides Live Encore Tour", playing some songs that the live album included and also some songs which were not included in the album. Like in previous tours since 1978, the band was a trio (Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford ) augmented by drummer Chester Thompson and guitarist / bassist Daryl Stuermer. Also during that year, PHIL COLLINS and MIKE RUTHERFORD released their respective second solo albums ("Hello...I Must Be Going!", in November, and "Acting Very Strange", in September), and their former lead singer PETER GABRIEL also released a solo album (in September, titled "Peter Gabriel" AKA "Security" or "Peter Gabriel 4"). All this activity during 1982 also included a very special event: a benefit concert, in October 2, with a reunion of the "Classic " line-up of the band (Banks, Collins, Rutherford, Gabriel, and playing with them in the Encores, Steve Hackett; with Thompson and Stuermer also playing with them) called "Six of the Best", in Milton Keynes, U.K., to help Gabriel to recover of financial problems that he had during the making of the first WOMAD Festival. Unfortunately, apparently that reunion in October 1982 was not profesionally recorded or filmed, but there are a lot of photos available from the event plus several audience recordings of various qualities which shows the band playing and singing with some mistakes (they only had time to rehearse for one day for that concert!).

One of the songs they played in that concert was "Turn It On Again", which had the very rare appearance of Peter Gabriel playing the drums (Chester Thompson's drum kit) while Phil Collins was singing the song, with Gabriel and Collins playing the drums together in the final parts of the song.

The live version of "Turn It On Again" which was included in this single was taken from the "Three Sides Live" album, with Chester Thompson on drums on most parts of the song and with Collins also playing the drums at the end of the song with Thompson. I have to say that the "Three Sides Live" album has a very good recording and mixing, and shows the band playing very well, with Collins's vocals showing some changes, sounding more "raw" and strong in comparison to previous years, but sounding very well, anyway, Stuermer plays a rhythm guitar while also playing bass pedals, and with Rutherford playing the very characteristic riff of this song on his guitar with Banks also playing it in one of his keyboards. It sounds like it is a simple Rock song, but the rhythm in fact is not so simple. There is also a promotional video of this song which I watched to on TV once in 1983 , which in fact was also included in the "Three Sides Live" concert video.

In the Side "B" of this single there is the song titled as "Who Dunnit?", which was taken from their "Abacab" album from 1981. Many people considers it as GENESIS's worst song ever. Despite the song has some funny moments, I consider it as their second worst song ever. As I wrote in other reviews, I consider "Illegal Alien" from their 1983 self-titled album as their worst song ever. "Who Dunnit?" is really "funny" in comparison.
