3 stars Yes one has to endure yet another Vangelis compilation...his most dastardly of deeds! yet this one has a slightly different edge due to marketing reshifting as to where the captive audience is......

Portraits is a great piece for compilations but the most constructive elements are the Jon and Vangelis songs like ' I Hear You Now', ' I'll Find My Way Home' and ' Sate Of Independance' Good stuff at best.If you like the Jon and Vangelis era this may well be a worthy addition to that phase.

4 stars If you want a Vangelis compilation including his most productive times with RCA(1975-1978) and Polydor (1979-1986) as well as the best Jon and Vangelis songs ...then this is your 'baby'.Vangelis took an active role in both the selection of tracks and cleverly bridges the peices togther similar ...
