Tesseract biography
US outfit TESSERACT was set up in 1996 by Don Tillman (guitars, keyboards, vocals), and joining him for the inital line-up of the band were Karen Bentley (violin), Julius Smith (synths, guitar), Josh Schroeter (drums, percussion) and Dave Berners (bass).

In 1997 they released their only album to date, "Tesseract". Just after the album release Barners left, and was replaced by Steve Stone.

More line-up changes were in store for the band though, and in 1998 Stone left, replaced by Mark Yeary (bass). Schroeter left as well, replaced by Jason Gianni (drums). Julius Smith left too, and as he wasn't replaced the band was reduced to a quartet from 1998 and onwards, and in 2001 the band effectively disbanded.

The last creative output from Tesseract was a track on the BayProg compilation CD in 2002, were Nicolai Gvatua (drums, percussion) joined Tillman to record their contribution.
