Rhetorica biography
RHETORICA is a progressive-metal band from Baia Mare, Romania, formed in 1997 as the result of the fusion of two bands, DIRTY SHIRT and LEGION. After a successful performance in the Rock Fest Seini festival, the musicians decided to make the newly-created group a permanent one.

Until 1999, the band performed in numerous concerts in Romania and received several awards. Due to personal matters from some of its members, RHETORICA was forced into a long hiatus that ended in 2004, when the members re-united and re-formed the outfit.

Immediately, the band set out to record and released their first full-length, "Ganduri" (Thoughts), in 2005, which received critical acclaim and gave the band the opportunity to enlarge its audiences by playing in more live concerts.

Line-up: Otto Ulmann (vocals, guitars), Dan Craciun (vocals), Dani Prikop (guitars), Mihai Tivadar (keys), Pal Novelli (bass), Vlad Toca (drums)

RHETORICA plays a unique brand of progressive-metal, with a special attention paid to melody. The band cites as their most important influences bands like PINK FLOYD, OPETH, DEEP PURPLE, DREAM THEATER and ELP.
