MEDDLE

This is the first FLOYD album in chronological order that I really like. The epic "Echoes" is a progressive song of over 20 minutes long, full of smooth high notes electric guitar, background organ, acoustic guitar and mellow vocals. There are psychedelic parts in it, rather experimental and scary, and it should not leave the listener indifferent. For bass amateurs, there is "One Of These Days", a solid bass-keyboards oriented track. The remaining track are relaxing folky-bluesy songs with mellow lead vocals.
