3 stars Yet another Rush single from "2112" worth purchasing for the completist who must have all things Rush, of which I am one. Again this is one you might find in a second hand store these days, and if so it is a definite worthwhile purchase as it is quite rare, especially with that picture sleeve with the "2112" logo. The songs on it are of course from "A Farewell to Kings" and have become live staples over the years.

'Closer to the Heart' is the most accessible and that is the reason it was the single off the album. Since, it has been played ad infinitum live in concert, captured beautifully on the live masterpiece "Different Stages". It also features on all Rush compilations so it is not hard to locate.

On the flip side is a throwaway with 'Madrigal', a short 2 ½ minute blast that was rather forgettable on the album but is okay as a B side. Overall, collectors should grab this if they see it at a second hand dealer, as it's a rarity in the days when vinyl was all we had. 3 stars for the rarity and picture sleeve.
