Mechanical Organic biography
The band was founded in 2005 and a first album is released a year later "Flat Earth Society" with Eddie KRATZ (VAUXDVIHL)who is the main composer. He is accompanied by David BELLION (keyboards, vocals), Joe KOSTOF (guitar), Andrew HURSY (drums) and Evan HARRIS (bass). All those musicians have others projects and have played with other bands in the past. So we have here a lot of experience of playing for each musicians. The band has released 3 more albums and 2 EP. The last one is "This Global Hive Part Two", released in 2014. The band create a theme for each release and explore each one which can last for 2 albums.

Their music is classical Progressive Metal with dark passages using sometimes some doom metal sounding escapades. The band influences are from bands like EVERYGREY, QUEENSRYCHE and FATES WARNING.

— First review of this album —
4 stars Australian band MECHANICAL ORGANIC was formed back in 2005, and released its debut album the following year. Since then a further two EPs and three full-length albums have followed. "This Global Hive Part Two" is the most recent of these, and was self-released in 2014.

If you tend to enjoy classic progressive metal, have a tendency to enjoy concept albums and find albums described as dark and dystopian to be alluring, Mechanical Organic is a band you most likely should lend an ear to. Their latest studio album is a well made affair, especially considering that it's also a self-released one, and among the aforementioned outlined audience I suspect those with an affection of bands in the Dream Theater school of progressive metal should be easier drawn to this disc than others.
