Progressive Biography
I joined Prog Archives forum on July 16th 2004 and was made a Collaborator on July 16th 2005, a happy coincidence as this date happens to be my birthday! That's about as sentimental as it gets with me. I have been a fan of Prog Rock since around 1973/74. I have been an Admin here since 2005.
My tastes have always been on the "safe" side; Rush, Genesis, Yes and Pink Floyd being my enduring Prog Rock favourites since the 1970's and I'm also a big fan of 1970s Heavy Rock bands such as Zep, Purple, Rainbow, UFO, Lizzy and The Scorpions (whose 1970s albums I highly recommend.)
Current favourite Prog: Rush, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, Anathema, Riverside, Genesis, Yes, Floyd, Opeth, Tool, Oceansize, North Atlantic Oscillation, Steve Hackett, PFM, Banco, Marillion, Fish.
In 2013 I retired from my Admin role, I feel I have given all I can to this great site and I will leave it to others to decide whether my tenure has been positive in bringing the site, and its Collaboration towards a stronger, more professional focus.
A big hello to anyone from Counterparts (Rush Messageboard) Forum, TRF and the boys and girls at you-know-where! ;-)
Over and out.
